AmaDablam is one of the widely famous mountains among the mountain climbers. The mountain lies in the Everest Region and has a height of 6,812 meters. The path to AmaDablam summit follows the old trekking route of iconic Everest Base Camp and changes its route from Dingboche village. The trek is suited for the experienced trekkers who want to level up their voyage in the mountains. AmaDablam expedition takes around 30 days to complete the whole journey, while it also expects the climbers a good physical shape as well as mount climbing training and experiences. The pre climbing training will be given during the meantime of 30 days. The trek also consists of many rest days to acclimatize the body in the high altitude so the chances of conquering the summit increase. If the weather as well as climatic conditions are in our favor we’ll reach the summit in our 22nd day of setting off.
The expedition covers major destinations in the Everest Region where you’ll be able to enjoy tasty local foods as well as breathtaking mountain views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and many other peaks. Passing different suspension bridges and walking along the banks of Dudhkoshi liver we reach the AmaDablam base camp from where our climbing starts. Our experienced guides and porters will be with you all the time to cater all your needs while you’ll only have to focus on climbing and conquering the exquisite AmaDablam. After you conquer this infamous peak there will be many other paths opened up for you as Nepal is a land of Himalayas consisting over 1000 peaks and also home to 8 peaks over 8000 meters.
As the altitude goes above 6,500 meters during the Amadablam Expeditions, trekkers need to be in a very good physical shape before embarking on the journey. Basic to Medium physical exercises are recommended to all the travellers 3-4 months prior to the expedition as well. Climbers having some experience of peak climbing before also get a major plus point. There will be many hardships along the way but the trek surely will be worth it as you taste the authentic local foods and beverages along with the grand feeling of conquering AmaDablam.
The trek begins with a short sightseeing of UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu and then a flight to Lukla, one of the most thrilling airports in the world. We head to Manjo from Lukla and stay for the night with a belly full of local foods and beverages. We head to Namche Bazaar the next day, which will be around 5 to 6 hours of walk. After a long and tiring day we stay a warm lodge at Namche and take a good night’s sleep with an exciting day ahead tomorrow. The following day we continue our journey to Khumjung. The day after we get to Phortse and we move onwards to Dingboche. After wonderful day at Dingboche we reach Chukkung, climb Chhukung and be back to Dingboche. We head to Amadablam Base Camp from Dingboche and engage on many training activities before actually heading for the Summit. We go to Yak Camp (I and II) then be back to AmaDablam base camp from where we finally move on to Summit from Camp 1, 2, 2.7 and finally reach the summit. We head back to Lukla the same way before and take the stunning flight back to Kathmandu, which will mark the end to this thrilling AmaDablam Expeditions.

Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by our airport representative and transferred to your 3-star level hotel in a private tourist vehicle. You will spend the night at the hotel and enjoy a dinner.
Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley and Trek preparations
After having morning breakfast we’ll go to have a short sightseeing of major UNESCO listed world heritage sites in Kathmandu. Then we’ll have a short briefing session and you can start preparing for the trek.
Fly to Lukla and head to Monjo (2,835m/9,300ft) 5-6 hours
You will board a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. After arriving in Lukla, we will begin our trek by hiking up to Monjo. Along the way, we will pass through several villages and trek through rhododendron forests.
Trek from Monjo to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,284ft) 3 to 4 hours trek
As we trek, we will follow the trail through a pine forest and cross the Dudh Koshi River. Then, we will reach the entrance to the Everest National Park. Continuing on, we will arrive at Namche Bazaar, a renowned Sherpa village. From Namche Bazaar, we will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse. We will spend the night in Namche Bazaar.
Trek from Namche to Khumjung (3,790m/12,400ft) 3 to 4 hour trek
From Namche, the trail heads north and follows a gradual uphill path towards the village of Khumjung. Along the way, you will pass through several small villages and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, including Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kangtega. The trail also passes by the Everest View Hotel, which offers panoramic views of Mount Everest and its surrounding peaks. After a few hours of trekking, you will reach the village of Khumjung, which sits at an altitude of 3,790m/12,400ft. Khumjung is a traditional Sherpa village and offers a glimpse into the local culture and way of life. You can visit the Khumjung Monastery, which houses a yeti skull, and explore the local school and hospital, both of which were established by Sir Edmund Hillary's Himalayan Trust.
Trek from Khumjung to Phortse (3,800m/12,450ft) 4 to 5 ho
From Khumjung, the trail heads north and gradually ascends towards the village of Phortse. Along the way, you will pass through lush forests of rhododendron and pine, as well as several small villages and yak pastures. The trail also offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kangtega. After a few hours of trekking, you will reach the village of Phortse, which sits at an altitude of 3,800m/12,450ft. Phortse is another traditional Sherpa village and offers a glimpse into the local culture and way of life. You can visit the Phortse Monastery and explore the local yak pastures and potato fields.
Trek from Phortse to Dingboche (4,410m/14,465ft)6 to 7 hours trek
Today we start from the beautiful village of Phortse and head towards Dingboche. Another beautiful village you’ll cross on your trek. You can explore the village in the evening and wait for the exciting day ahead.
Trek from Dingboche to Chukkung, then Climb of Chukkung Ri (5,364m/17,600ft) and back to Dingboche:7 to 8 hours trek
Today we stay at Dingboche and explore the surroundings, including Chukkung Ri. The view will be exceptional from Ri while we’ll be back to Dingboche to stay for the night.
Trek from Dingboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,570m/15,000ft) 5 to 6 hours trek
Today we reach the base of the infamous Ama Dablam. We set up a camp and enjoy our next day in the Himalayas. The snowy landscape will keep making you feel excited about the upcoming days.
Acclimatization Climb to Yak Camp (5,182m/17,000ft) and return to Base Camp : 4 to 6 hours trek
To acclimatize our body to even higher altitude we move up to Yak Camp and move back to the Base Camp where we’ll be staying for few more days.
Rest day in Base Camp and pre-climbing training
For two days we’ll engage in many climbing activities and train for our upcoming voyage to the summit. Our experienced climbers will teach you all the basics of climbing as well as the use of climbing equipment.
Climb to Yak Camp (5,182m/17,000ft) for the night: 3 to 4 hours trek
After having breakfast we climb upto the Yak Camp. We set up a camp and stay there for the night. It’ll all be done by the staffs so you don’t have to worry about all the hard works and enjoy.
Climb from Yak Camp to Camp 1 (5,639m/18,500ft) :3 to 4 hours trek/Climbing
Today after hot and delicious breakfast we head on to Camp 1. The trek is a very high altitude trek so we’ll take it slow and steady.
Acclimatization day and Climb to Camp 2 (5,944m/19,500ft) and return to Camp 1 (5,639m/18,500ft) 5 to 6 hours trek/climbing
Today we stay at camp one and acclimatize our body to the altitude. In all the high climbing expeditions we need to take a lot of rest as well as acclimatize our body and should not rush to the summit. We seek the best of our guest’s health as well as the high probability of conquering the top. So the longer the best.
Descend from Camp 1 to Base Camp (4,570m/15,000ft) 2 to 3 hours trek
Today we descend back to Base Camp. We’ll be engaging in many fun activities in this high altitude so you won’t have the time to feel board.
Rest Day in Ama Dablam Base Camp
As said earlier it is a must to take rest and acclimatize before pursuing to the high altitude. We will keep engaging in fun activities as well as go through our camping training before finally heading on to the top.
Climb from the Base Camp (4,570m/15,000 ft/) to Camp 1 (5,639 m/18,500 ft) 5 to 6 hours trek
Today we head on to Camp 1 from the base camp. We set up a camp and stay at the base camp for the night.
Rest Day in Camp 1 (Optional)
We have an optional day today as a rest day. If the health conditions are all right, we can head on to Camp 2 without taking this day as a rest.
Climb to Camp 1 to Camp 2, then to Camp 2.7 (6,350m/20,800ft) 6 to 7 hours trek/climbing
Today we head on to Camp 2 and onwards to Camp 2.7. The staffs will prepare delicious meals for you while you enjoy the vibes of high altitude and snowy peaks around.
Climb from Camp 2.7 to Ama Dablam Peak Summit (6,812m/22,349ft), then return to Camp 2.7 : 8 to 9 hours trek/climbing
Today is the grand day. We head on to the summit and finally conquer the infamous Mount AmaDablam. We click pictures, enjoy the breathtaking views and head back to camp 2.7. The trek will be long and tough, but the feeling of being at the top will make it all worth it.
Descend from Camp 2.7 to Base Camp (4,570m/15,000ft) - 5 to 6 hours trek/climbing
Today we head back to the base camp and stay there for the night.
Rest Day in Base Camp
Today we’ll take a rest before embarking on the further journey. You deserve a well-needed rest after this successful climb.
Trek from Base Camp to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,284 ft) 6 to 7 hours trek
Today we’ll descend back to Namche Bazaar. You can enjoy the local foods and beverages of Namche and also enjoy the local culture during your stay.
Trek from Namche to Lukla : 6-7 hours trek
We take a rocky trail downhill towards the Dudh Koshi River, crossing it and heading to Lukla via Monjo (Sagarmatha National Park entry and exit point). We walk downhill, crossing a suspension bridge over Bhote Koshi river, and continue to Phakding. From there, we ascend the trail until we reach Lukla. We rest our weary bodies and spend the night in a lodge.

We take a flight back to Kathmandu and upon arrival, have the option to explore the city and do some souvenir shopping. We organize a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of the trek and exchange final greetings and wishes as you prepare for your final departure.

We keep this day as a contingency as well for various reasons.
Departure day
Today is the final day of your trip, and we prepare for our departure. We provide transportation to drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport. We exchange final farewells and hope to see each other again in the future. We wish you a pleasant journey and have a safe flight!!
