One of the newer and less well-known treks in the Everest area is the Classic Everest Base Camp Trek via Pikey Peak. This is a 22 days trek which takes us to the summit of Pikey and onwards to Kalapathhar through the classic trail of Mount Everest. Although equally adventurous and beautiful as the classic EBC trek, this trek takes a slight detour of Pikey Peak before heading on to the Everest Base Camp. Pikey Peak is located at an altitude of 4,065m, from where you can see the breathtaking views of the surroundings as well as the mighty Mount Everest. Before arriving at the 5,365-meter Everest Base Camp, the walk will pass by a number of other breathtaking vistas. The last endpoint of the Classic Everest Base Camp with Pikey Peak Trek, Kalapathar 5545 meters above sea level, will be the highest point of the trek.
The trek is best suited for the adventure seekers who want to explore the unexplored and enjoy the unspoiled nature to the very core. The best opportunity to observe village life in a remote area of Nepal is through this hike. With the help of our knowledgeable guides and porters, you can also experience the best of Nepal, which will undoubtedly make your journey even more enjoyable.
Before beginning the Classic Everest Base Camp journey with Pikey Peak, hikers must be in excellent physical condition because the altitude will be above 5000 meters. All travelers should engage in some light physical activity three to four months before their voyage. Even though there will be some difficulties along the route, once you have had the local cuisine and drink and had the chance to take in the spectacular surroundings, the trek will have been worthwhile.
The journey to Dhap village from the magnificent metropolis of Kathmandu begins the trek. After that, it gently climbs to Japre before continuing on to Pikey Base Camp. The walk continues to Loding, a lovely town in the Solukhumbu area, after climbing the Pikey Summit. We arrive in Namche Bazaar, a well-liked location also referred to as the escape from Everest, after passing through numerous stopping locations along the way. We go through numerous stunning monasteries, including Dingboche and Tengboche, before arriving at Lobuche, the final stop before arriving at the Everest Base Camp. We take a flying return to Kathmandu after carefully descending to Lukla from Kala Patthar through Namche.
